In China, five persons were killed in a knife attack by suspected Uyghur militants in country's western Xinjiang region. Authorities in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region said, 3 people with knives went on a rampage in a housing complex, killing 5 and wounding 5 others. A statement on the Government website says police shot the 3 assailants dead on the spot. Deadly attacks on Government facilities and other places have occurred repeatedly in Xinjiang.<br/><br/>Xinjiang, bordering Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Afghanistan, has been on the boil for several years over<br/>Uyghur protests against the large-scale settlements of Han Chinese from different parts of the country.
