A 5.7-magnitude earthquake rocked southwestern Pakistan today. The US Geological Survey said the quake was centered 206 kilometers southwest of the city of Kalat in Baluchistan province, at a depth of eight kilometers. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the area, close to the border with Afghanistan.
