5.2 earthquake struck near Japan's east coast of Honshu

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck near Japan's east coast of Honshu today. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake hit at 13:29 local time. The epicenter of the quake, with a depth of 47 kilometeres, was initially determined to be at 39.3124 degrees north latitude and 142.0179 degrees east longitude.
