The fourth edition of the Indian Premier League T20 cricket tournament began at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai today evening.Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan along with Singer Sona Mahapatra dazzled in the opening ceremony in a short but colourful event. This year's edition is spread over 51 days and 74 matches will be played across 13 venues. Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Pune Warriors are the two new teams included in this years' IPL. The final is slated for May 28 at Chennai. Chennai Super Kings were the winners of IPL 3, while Kolkata Knight Riders finished at the bottom last year. Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders, captained by Gautam Gambhir, in the opening match of the competition.Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost an early wicket in the form of Murli Vijay at 4.
