In Assam, the 4th Cinemas International Film Festival, 2012 has begun in Guwahati. Noted Assamese film star Biju Phukan formally inaugurated the festival at Rabindra Bhawan. Around 40 movies across the world will be screened in the festival. The festival is jointly organised by the Cine Art Society, Asom, CineASA and State Film Development Corporation. AIR correspondent reports that renowned film director Rituparna Ghosh’s Bengali movie Naukadubi has been screened as the inaugural movie.
