The 4th Cine ASA International Film Festival, 2012 concluded in Guwahati, Assam yesterday. Around 40 movies across the world were screened during the festival. Meherjan, based on the Bangladesh liberation war, was screened as the closing movie of the festival jointly organised by the Cine Art Society, Asom, and State Film Finance and Development Corporation. Films from Bangladesh, France, Canada, Norway, Germany, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey and Iran besides India were showcased in the festival.The organisers have also felicitated renowned actor Seema Biswas and star cast of Assamese movie, Firingoti, directed by Jahnu Baruah, on completion of 30 years of Mr.Baruah in the field of film making. Workshops and seminars were also held as part of the festival.
