Media development and other issues related to the Broadcasters will be taken up during 48th General Assembly meeting of the Asia – Pacific Broadcasting Union, ABU to be held in the national capital on Monday.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, the acting President Mr Datuk Ibrahim Yahaya said that ABU is a professional association of broadcasting organisation to facilitate the development of broadcasting in the Asia Pasific region.

He said that it provides a forum for promoting the collective interests of television and radio broadcasters and engages in activities to encourage regional and internatational coperation between broadcasters.
