485 participants selected to perform on Republic Day 2022 parade

<span style="color: #222222;">485 participants have been selected to perform on the Republic Day 2022 parade to be held at Rajpath in New Delhi. Vande Bharatam Final Competition was held in New Delhi yesterday at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. 73 groups comprising 850 dancers from all four zones showcased their talent in the Grand Finale.<br />'' <br />'' The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Culture had announced the launch of Vande Bharatam-Nritya Utsav, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of independence of India. The prime objective of this event was to select the top dancing talent from across the country and provide them the opportunity to perform during the Republic Day Parade 2022.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi said, the Vande Bharatam-Nritya Utsav has been started to promote the art and culture of the country. She said, India's traditional dances are thousand of years old and Civilization and culture of natives in India were preserved. Mrs Lekhi said, pubilc participation is important to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.</span>
