<span style="color: #222222;">The Government has said that forty eight idols and artefacts which were smuggled to foreign countries have been brought back to India. This was stated by Minister of State for Culture Prahlad Singh Patel in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha. According to the statistics, the maximum number of sixteen idols was brought back to Tamil Nadu. Out of this, nine were brought back from the United States and four from Australia.</span><br />
