In Andhra Pradesh, the 48-hour bandh called by Telengana political joint action committee continued in Telengana region on the second day on Wednesday. The bandh was total and incident-free by and large. Telengana activists took out rallies and held rasta rokos at some places. Minor tension prevailed in Osmania university campus in Hyderabad when students resorted to stone-pelting. Three students were arrested in this connection. In Warangal district, the agitators set afire two bogies of a passenger train near K.Sumudram. Bandh was peaceful in other Telengana districts. Educational institutions, commercial establishments and cinema halls remained closed and public transport system was badly affected. Meanwhile, 12 legislators belonging to Telengana Rashtra samithi, BJP and CPI were suspended from state assembly for one day when they stalled the house proceedings on Telengana issue Wednesday morning.
