In Andhra Pradesh, the road transport services across Telangana region have almost come to a standstill due to the 48-hour long bandh called by the Telangana Joint Action Committee. Demanding the Government to accept the resignations of the Legislators and MPs who resigned yesterday in support to statehood for Telangana, the JAC has called for 2-day bandh in the region. Osmania Students Joint Action Committee and several other trade, students and workers unions of the region have extended their support to the bandh.11 MPs and 89 legislators have tendered resignations en-masse. Telangana Rashtra Samithi President and Lok Sabah Member K Chandrasekhara Rao has sent his resignation to the Speaker. Two TDP MPs have also announced that they will resign tuesday morning. Some more legislators are also expected to tender their resignations today.AIR Correspondent says, people especially commuters are facing hardships following the road transport services have been badly hit due to the bandh.
