In Uttar Pradesh, at least 46 pilgrims were killed on Monday morning when a tractor trolley carrying them overturned in a water logged ditch in Nagra area of Ballia district.Police said, the mishap occurred when the tractor trolley carrying around 60 pilgrims overturned in the ditch near Gauapar village.The pilgrims were on their way to Sati Mata Temple in the district. Most of the victims belong to Usmanpur village under Ubhaon police station.District Magistrate Madhukar Dwivedi has announced financial assistance to the victims. He said, one lakh rupees each will be given to the family members of those who have lost their lives, fifty thousand rupees will be given to seriously injuries and ten thousand rupees to those with minor injuries.
