In the poll bound Union Territory of Puducherry, 4501 special category electors – Absentee Voters – cast their votes. The Puducherry Election Department released the details of the postal ballots cast by the absentee voters yesterday.<br />'' <br />''AIR correspondent reports that the voting by postal ballot of the electors in the categories of 80 elderly citizens, persons with disabilities and the covid-19 affected people was completed across the union territory on March 30th.A total of 46 electors cast their votes by postal ballot on March 30 th which includes 30 voters in the 80 category and 16 in the persons with disabilities category.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;"> As against 4718 electors in the above three categories who opted for voting through postal ballot by furnishing form 12 D to the returning officers , 4501 number of electors cast their votes. Of the total number of 4501 postal ballots received by the election department , includes 2459 postal ballots from Puducherry, 1074 from Karaikal, 473 in Mahe and 495 in Yanam region.</span><br />
