In Andhra Pradesh, polling for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections took place peacefully. Hyderabad special election officer, Krishna Babu said overall 45 % percent voters have cast their vote. Polling that began at 7 AM on a low key and picked up pace by afternoon, could not gain momentum as expected. By 5 PM when the polling came to an end, overall polling in 150 divisions was registered at about 45%, he said. Poll officials said except some stray incidents, polling was peaceful. Arrangements are being made to shift the EVMs to strong rooms. The poll prospects of 1310 candidates who were in the fray will be known on the counting day on 26th of this month while the Mayer election will be held on 4th next month.<br/>
