<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Finance and BJP leader Dr. Bhagwat Karad has said that so far 45 crore bank accounts of beneficiaries have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana- PMJDY. Addressing media as part of the social justice fortnight being observed by the BJP  to mark its foundation day on 6th April, Dr. Karad said that one lakh 68 thousand crore rupees are deposited in these accounts.<br />'' <br />''The Union Minister informed that out of the total bank accounts opened so far, 56 per cent accounts are of women beneficiaries. He said, the objective of the scheme is to provide banking to unbanked people, financial security to the unsecured, funding to the unfunded people and serving to the unserved people. Dr. Karad also mentioned that so far 31.6 crore RuPay debit cards have been issued to the account holders under the scheme.</span><br />
