In Odisha, the state government is concerned over unabated dengue menace which spread to 21 districts out of the 30 in the state. The state government claims, so far 20 people have died of Dengue. A total of 736 people are affected by the mosquito borne disease with 44 more people tested positive on Wednesday. The disease is mainly seen in the mining areas of Angul district. In Odisha, the state government is not free from the mosquito borne menace Dengue. Though the disease is being spreading to other districts in snail pace the state is far from bring dengue under control despite several steps. Official record says the number of death in Dengue is 20 but non official record is much more than this. The dengue menace was also echoed in the ongoing state legislative assembly on Thursday as the opposition Congress asked the government to come out with a report on precautionary measures to have taken by the state government to get rid of the disease. The opposition leader Mr. Bhupender Singh said people in Anugula and in Telcher are scared of the disease and the menace has already spread to other tribal districts in state. Meanwhile, the speaker Mr Pradeep Kumar Amat keeping in view of the statement of the opposition leader had asked the state health minister Mr. Prasana Acharya to table a statement indicating steps taken by the state government to prevent the disease.
