In Andhra Pradesh, a total 431 nominations have been filed for one Lok Sabha and 18 Assembly seats as the nomination process has came to an end on Friday evening. Nineteen candidates filed their nominations for Nellore Lok Sabha bye-election, while remaining 412 candidates filed nominations for 18 Assembly seats. The State Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal told reporters in Hyderabad that the highest number of 45 candidates filed nominations for Tirupati Assembly Constituency and the lowest ten candidates filed at Narsannapeta Assembly segment. The Scrutiny of nominations will be taking place on Sunday and the last date for withdrawing nominations will be Monday. The polling will be held on 12th of next month. Meanwhile, a large scale unaccounted cash to a tune of 22 crore rupees has been seized so far in 12 bye-election bound districts of the state.
