43 new dengue cases reported in Delhi

A total of 43 new cases of dengue were reported in the national capital , taking the number of those affected by disease to 496. 40 of them are from the MCD area. With Delhi receiving bountiful rainfall in the last few weeks, there has been a spurt in number of dengue cases in the city. The civic body said it is trying its best to control the spread of the vector-borne disease and has challaned a large number of individuals and organisations over breeding of mosquitoes on their premises. It said notices were sent to over 45,000 people and about 6000 of them were fined.
