43 Gold medals are up for grabs on the fifth day of the Commonwealth Games today. Maximum 11 gold medals will be decided in swimming, while 8 medals will be on offer in Athletics. Gymnastics and Shooting will each account for 5 gold medals, while Cycling will provide 3 gold, the same as Wrestling. Archery, Weightlifting and Squash each will have 2 gold medals on offer today. First medals of Badminton and Table-Tennis events will also be decided today. Host India will be hoping for Good show in Shooting, wrestling and weightlifting events. India's Chandrakant Mali will be hunting for gold in men's 85 kilogram category in weightlifting. In Wrestling, Alka Tomar and Babita kumari are the Indian medal hopes. Gold medals will be up for grabs in 51, 59 and 69 Kilogram category. In Shooting, India's Gagan Narang and Inran Hasan Khan are favourites in men's 50 meters rifel 3 positioning pairs, while the Pairs trap of Women will see the duo of Shreyasi Sling and Seema Tomar in action. Men's Pairs trap gold will also be decided today. In, Men's Singles 50 meter rapid fire pistol event Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet singh are in contention while Gurpreet Singh and Onkar Singh are top contenders for the top spot in 10 meter air pistol singles men's event. India will eyeing medals in Archery as well with both men's and women's team in semifinals of the recurve category. Also India has one assured medal in badminton as Indian team contests Malaysia in the mixed team event final. India will also hope for some medals from Athletics, Swimming, Gymnastics events.
