Forty two people including 10 women and eight children are missing in mid-sea off the Orissa coast near Bhadrak district. The boat carrying them remained untraced since last 36 hours due to the cyclonic weather condition following low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Police along with local fishermen have been pressed into the service to trace the missing people. A helicopter has also been requisitioned for the job. The missing people belonging to Nuagaon village under Basudevpur police station area of Bhadrak district had left in a motor boat for a nearby Shiva temple at Aradi on last Tuesday. On the return journey to the Chudamani jetty, the motor boat had reportedly met an accident after which the people are missing.
