The 41st International Film Festival of India, IFFI 2010 will begin in Panaji, Goa on Monday. This year the competition section of the festival has been made open to feature films from across the world. Eighteen films including three from India will be competing for the covetted Golden Peacock award. Best actor and best actress awards have also been introduced for the fist time in IFFI 2010.Films in competion and cinema of the world sections have been chosen from 450 entries from across the globe. The ten day long festival will be inaugurated by the Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee and eminent film maker Yash Chopra will be the chief gujest. Ministers of state for Information and Broadcasting Dr. S.Jagath Rakshakan and Chowdhary Mohan Jatua will also grace the opening ceremony. West is West with Ompuri in the lead role will be the opening movie of IFFI 2010.
