4000 people shifted to safer places due to heavy rain in Kutch

In Gujarat more than 4000 people were shifted to the safer places due to heavy intermittent rain in bordering district of Kutch since on Tuesday. Quoting government sources AIR Bhuj correspondent reports that more than 600 villages of Surashtra and Kutch region have been disconnected from rest of the world. Roads and telecommunications are badly affected. 300 fishermen of the region are missing in the sea while 55 fishermen were rescued from Jakhau sea coast by police coast guard.
