Four thousand crore rupees have been granted for building roads in West Bengal under the Prime Ministers Gram Sarak Jojona. The roads to be constructed will also include Maoists effected places like Purulia, Bankura, West Midnapore and other far flung areas. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Union Rural Development Minister Jayram Ramesh and State’s Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Subrata Mukherjee in Kolkata today.
