Over 400 archers from 25 states are taking part in the 35th Junior National Archery Championship being held in Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy formally inaugurated the event at the Gachibowli stadium on wednesday. Andhra Pradesh Archery Association President Anil Kamineni told reporters that the event in being held in three categories called Indian Round, Re-curve and Compound Event. Stating that some of the players are national champions and international medal winners, he said the ten-day event will constitute as selection criteria for picking the national team that will participate in the next edition of Asian Championship. The Championship will continue till the 21st of this month
