In Jammu and Kashmir at least 40 personnel of the Army's High Altitude Warfare School were trapped in an avalanche in Khilanmarg, 70, kms from Srinagar on Monday.<br/><br/>Defence sources said the group had left Gulmarg for Khilanmarg Monday morning. Army and police rescue teams have been rushed to the spot.<br/><br/>Incessant rain and snow in Kashmir valley has affected normal life as traffic on Srinager – Jammu national highway remains suspended due to landslides at Digdool, Pida and Panthal.<br/><br/>Efforts to restore traffic are hampered due to adverse weather conditions. However, substantial snow fall at world famous ski spot of Gulmarg has brought cheer to the tourists and winter sports lovers.<br/>
