Four Public sector undertakings, PSU's GAIL India Limited, Coal India Limited, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers and Fertilizer Corporation of India Limited today signed Joint Ventures Agreements to set up an Integrated Coal Gasification cum Fertilizer and Ammonium Nitrate complex at Talcher in Odisha.The joint ventures were signed in New Delhi today in the presence of Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Ananth Kumar, Union Minster of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Hansraj Gangaram Ahir. Mr Ananth Kumar said, revival of the Talcher unit will trigger a great economic boom in Odisha and eastern part of the country as it will generate opportunities in the form of direct and indirect employment for the people in the region.
