In Jammu & Kashmir, four militants were killed in a gunfight that broke out between security forces and militants in Haphrada forest area of Handwara in Kupwara district late yesterday evening. The area is around 100 Kms north of Srinagar headquarters. Four AK 47 rifles, 14 AK Magazines, 95 AK rounds, 04 pouches and 01 UBGL grenade, were recovered from the encounter site.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, reports said protesters today blocked Baramulla-Rafiabad highway in north Kashmir where residents staged protest demonstrations. The protesters were demanding compensation alleging four residential houses had been damaged during joint army & special operations group's operation against holed up Lashkar I Islam militant in Ladoora Rafiabad yesterday.
