In Assam, four hardcore ultras belonging to outlawed National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) were arrested by the police at Samaguri in Nagaon district on Friday. The police managed to arrest the militants with 25 rounds of ammunition when they were travelling to Dimapur in Nagaland in a passenger bus. During interrogation, they confessed their involvement in underground activities in different parts of the state. One of them was reportedly involved in the serial bomb explosions in Guwahati and other parts of the State on October 30, 2008, that claimed over a hundred lives besides wounding over six hundred people. Meanwhile, three more dreaded NDFB militants who were arrested from Tamil Nadu recently have been brought to the state. One of them, Dedang Daimary alias Khangur Daimary, was produced in the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court at Mongoldoi in Darang district.
