In China, four persons were killed and more than 77,000 evacuated in eastern and central provinces hit by a new round of rainstorms. Flooding and landslides triggered by an earlier two rounds of rainstorms had left 105 people dead and 63 more missing in the south over the past 10 days. Fresh floods have killed four persons and another seven are reported missing in rain-triggered landslides in Anhui and Hubei provinces in last two days. By Wednesday afternoon, the rain had forced the evacuation of 70,100 people in Jiangxi and toppled 1,320 houses.
