In Kerala, four persons, including a woman, were killed in a landslide that took place at Kadavoor near Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district on Friday evening. Four others are reportedly missing.One person has been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. Among the four killed, one person collapsed and died due to cardiac arrest after watching nature's fury. Seven houses in the area were completely swept away in the landslidewhile two houses were partially damaged. Widespread losses to agricultural crops have been reported in the area.Families staying nearby have been evacuated to safer places.State Ministers K Babu, VK Ibrahim Kunju and Anoop Jacob visited the site. At Peerumedu in Idukki district, four persons who were trapped beneath the soil following a landslide were rescued. Land slides were also reported from Talanad near Erattupetta in Kottayam district.The central districts of Kerala received heavy rains since Thursday night. The catchment areas of Idukki dam also received good rain fall.
