In Uttar Pradesh, the death toll in fresh clashes in Muzaffarnagar district has risen to four. While three youths were killed in Mohammadpur village under Bhorakalan Police Station area in a scuffle yesterday, one woman was killed in Hasanpur village late last evening. Officials said, 8 persons have been arrested in connection with the latest round of violence in the district. High alert has been issued in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining districts and additional forces have been deployed in the sensitive areas. IGP (Meerut Zone) Braj Bhushan has reached the trouble-hit areas. The District Magistrate and SSP are also camping in the area to prevent any further untoward incident.
