In Israel, four people were killed and 88 injured in an explosion after last midnight in an apartment building in downtown Netanya. According to Israeli media Haaretz, the circumstances surrounding the explosion are still unclear, but first estimates indicate that the damage was the result of a gas explosion, which caused major damage to the apartment building and to other nearby buildings. Many of the people who injured in the explosion were French tourists spending summer in Netanya. After the explosion, police arrested one man on suspicion of having tampered with the gas tanks.
