Bangladesh Captain Shakib Al Hasan today admitted that his team's poor batting performance throughout the tournament was responsible for the end of their journey in ICC World Cup 2011. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in Dhaka after the humiliating 206-run defeat against South Africa, Shakib said that he felt that they had lost the match after his team lost the first four wickets in quick succession for just twenty one runs. <br/><br/>The Bangladesh Skipper also expressed his disappointment for having let down the country's cricket fans. Shakib said that he feels sorry for his team's fans as they deserved a much better performance from the team which was playing at home grounds. Bangladesh's hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinal stage ended with the team being bowled out for a paltry 78 runs in reply to South Africa's 285 in their last group match played at the Sher-E-Bangla Stadium at Dhaka.
