The Queen's Baton Relay of the 19th Commonwealth Games has arrived in Guwahati this afternoon.<br/><br/>The Baton was handed over to the Assam Forest Minister and the General Secretary of the Assam Olympic Association Mr. Rockybul Hussain at Nehru Stadium amidst much enthusiasm of large numbers of sports lovers and sportsmen. Later, the Baton was taken to the State Capital Dispur. <br/><br/>The State Chief Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi received the Relay team and flagged off the relay. <br/><br/>The Relay culminated with felicitation of noted sports personalities and an hour-long mega cultural programme at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati this afternoon. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that despite inclement weather, a large number of sports lover gathered in all the functions to have a glimpse of the Queen's Baton. <br/><br/>From Guwahati, the Queen's Baton Relay will arrive at Shillong in Meghalaya tomorrow.
