The Queen's baton relay of the upcoming Delhi Commonwealth games was held in Bangladesh today. <br/><br/>The Queen's Baton relay team for the Delhi games led by the National Convenor Ms. Alka Lamba which reached Dhaka on Sunday from Colombo formally handed over the Queen's Baton to the Bangladesh Olympic Association President and Chief of Army Staff General Md. Abdul Mubeen at the Army stadium at 11.00 a.m this morning. <br/><br/>General Mubeen then flagged off the Queen's baton relay following which more than 70 athletes and some freedom fighters of Bangladesh carried the baton through various landmarks of Dhaka city to reach the Bangladesh Parliament. <br/><br/>The Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament Mr.Abdul Hamid along with Bangladesh state minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mr. Ahad Ali Sarkar received the Queen's<br/>baton and handed it over back to the Queen's Baton relay team from India to resume its global journey.
