4 Indians short-listed for this year�s ICC Awards

The final leg of FIDE Women's Chess Championship begins in Sharjah today. The last leg of the six match Grand Prix tournament will choose the challenger to the women's world championship next year. India's Grandmaster Koneru Humpy leads the series going into the last leg of the six tournament series. <br/><br/>32 players will compete in a single round robin of 11 rounds. Reigning world champion China's Hou Yifan is number one seed followed by India's Koneru Humpy. However the Indian Grandmaster leads the Grand Prix ranking followed by the Chinese World number One. They would have tough competition with Anna Muzychuk of Slovenia and Nana Dzagnidze and Bela Kotenshavili following closely behind them in terms of points.
