The fourth National Senior Women Hockey Championship began in Bhopal today. Five matches were played today. Bengal Hockey Association defeated Vidharbha Hockey Association by 3-0. Assam defeated Goa by 16-0. Teams of Andhra Pradesh, Hockey Himachal and Hockey Delhi also won their matches. Jammu and Kashmir and Tamilnadu got walkover as teams of Orissa and Mizoram didn't turn up.
