The Dubai Duty Free WTA Championship for Women gets underway in Dubai today. On the opening day, former world number one and this year's wild card entry, Venus Williams will be up against E.Vesnina. In another match Nadia Petrova takes on C. Suarez Navarro while L. Safarova will play against S. Stephens.<br/>In all, 14 out of the 20 top women's seeds will be in action at the inaugural tennis championship. The women's leg of the tournament continues until 22nd February.
