4 Indians short-listed for this year�s ICC Awards

Iran has won the 17th Asia Senior Men's Volleyball Championship. The defending champions beat a spirited South Korean team in three straight sets 25-19,25-22, 25-19 in Dubai yesterday. China came third beating Japan while Australia came fifth in the ranking after defeating Chinese Taipei. Indian spikers finished seventh in the overall ranking as they beat Lebanon in a gruelling five setter. India lost the first two sets in a close finish .But the team came from behind in the last three sets to win the match. The final scores read 23-25,23-25,25-23,25-21,25-17. <br/><br/>The Indian volleyball team's performance at the tournament had been a mix bag as they lost to lesser ranked Qatar in their opening match. They then beat much fancied and tournament favorites Australia and subsequently Bahrain. India lost out to China in the quarter finals despite taking an early lead.<br/>
