A new meet record was created on Sunday morning in the Octathlon boys event in the seventh National youth athletics championship being held at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. <br/> <br/>K.Dileep Kumar of Gujarat set the record in this event with 5712 points. With this 5 new meet records and one national record were created in this championship. <br/> <br/>AIR correspondent reports, in the Octathlon boys event in the seventh National youth athletics championship K. ileep Kumar of Gujarath with 5712points breaks the record of 5458 points created in November 2004. <br/> <br/>Dharmendar of Haryana and Vivek.P.S. of Kerala won silver and bronze in this event. Haryana's Kuldeep won gold in the 10000 meter walk for boys. <br/> <br/>Kapil Kumar of Gujarat and N.Sanjit of Uttarakhand won silver and bronze in this event. In the medal tally Maharshtra is leading with 5 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze. <br/> <br/>Haryana is in the second position with 5 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze and Tamil Nadu come up in the third position with 4 gold and 4 bronze. Semifinals and finals of 14 events will be held today evening and the three day Championship will conclude today. <br/> <br/>The Indian team for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, to be held in Singapore from August 14 to 26, would be selected based on the performance of the athletes in this meet.<br/>
