4 Indians short-listed for this year�s ICC Awards

P V Sindhu kept India's hopes alive in women's singles by entering the semifinals of the India Open Super Series badminton tournament with a win over Yui Hashimoto of Japan, in New Delhi today. Sindhu defeated Hashimoto 21-16, 21-16. Sindhu will next take on World No. 6 Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, who earlier in the day defeated India's Arundhati Pantawane in another women's singles match. In men's singles , India's H.S.Prannoy, B.Sai Praneeth and RMV Gurusaidutt lost their quarter final matches. India's Anand Pawar will meet his compatriot Ajay Jayaram in a quarter final match later tonight. In all, seven Indian shuttlers had entered the quarter finals of the tournament.
