4 Indians short-listed for this year�s ICC Awards

In Australian Open Tennis, the Indo-American duo of Sania Mirza and Bob Bryan and the Indo-Russian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Nadia Petrova today bowed out of the Mixed Doubles category. In the quarterfinals, third seeds Sania and Bob lost to the Czech pair of Lucie Hradecka and Frantisek Cermak, 5-7, 4-6; while fifth seeds Bhupathi and Petrova went down fighting to the Aussie team of Matthew Ebden and Jarmila Gajdosova, in a tie breaker, 3-6, 6-3, 11-13. With this, India's campaign in the tournament has come to an end.<br/>In the Women's Singles, Russia's World Number Two Maria Sharapova today made a shock exit from the tournament, as sixth seed Na Li of China stunned her by a straight set, 6-2, 6-2 victory in the first semi-final. In the title clash, Li will now face World Number One Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. In the other semi-final today, a little unfit Azarenka defeated Sloane Stephens of the United States, in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.<br/>The Men's Singles first semi-final match between World Number One Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Spaniard David Ferrer is yet to be played today. The second semi-final between Switzerland's World Number Two Roger Federer and Briton Andy Murray is scheduled for tomorrow.<br/>In the Men's Doubles, the top seeded American brothers, Bob and Mike Bryan today stormed into the finals, after beating the Italian pair of Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
