Croatia's Marin Cilic has won the Chennai open ATP tennis tournament. The defending champion and second seed Cilic overcame a fighting Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland in straight sets 7-6 7-6 in two hours and forty minutes to pocket the top prize of 68,500 US Dollar and 250 ATP points. Marin Cilic is only the second player to successfully defend the title after Spain's Carlos Moya.<br/><br/>In the Mens Doubles, Spaniards Marcel Granollers and Santiago Ventura scored a confident 7-5 6-2 win over Yen-Hsun Lu of Taipei and Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia to clinch the title.
