India entered the semi-finals of the Bangabandhu SAFF Championship being held in Dhaka on Monday.<br/><br/>The Indians defeated Nepal in their second league encounter in group A by a solitary goal to confirm their semi-final berth.<br/><br/>The lone goal of the match was scored in the 18th minute, when Skipper Sushil Kumar's spot kick rebounded off the post and Jibon singh headed the ball into the goal.<br/><br/>Nepal did not give up and made several forays towards the Indian goal but they failed to find the net thanks to a firm Indian defence and some brilliant saves by goal keeper Arindam Bhattacharya.<br/><br/>India had defeated Afghanistan in their first league match on Saturday.<br/><br/>With the win against Nepal, India is now at the top of group A with six points and will take on defending Champions Maldives in their last encounter on Wednesday.
