Four earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 5 to 6.2 on the Richter Scale, hit Negros Occidental province in central Philippines early this morning. The latest took place at 6.49 am local time with a depth of 33.9 kilometres from the ground surface. Earlier, two quakes measuring 5.5 and 5.7 magnitude hit the area. The first strongest one was recorded at 4.47 am at 83 kilometres west of Cauayan city. Last night Negros in the Philippines was hit by another quake of 6.6 magnitude. No damages or casualties have been reported yet.
