4 die, one missing as Typhoon strikes Japan

In Japan, four people have died and one went missing after a typhoon struck the country. Typhoon Lan made landfall at Shizuoka, 175 kilometres south-west of Tokyo, early today. <br/><br/>Japan's weather agency said the gusts of up to 198 kilometre per hour hit the country.The storm, which drenched many regions over the weekend, led to almost 300 flights being cancelled today, after 500 were cancelled yesterday. There are also reports of passenger trains getting stuck overnight due to blackouts, while some today morning express services have been cancelled, as have some ferry services.<br/><br/>Typhoon Lan, which is expected to pass close to Tokyo, has already killed four people. More than 130 injuries have also been reported across the country.
