4 die following inclement weather in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, four people including three pilgrims died following the inclement weather in Rudraprayag district. The deceased had come to perform worship on the auspicious occasion of opening of the portals of Kedarnath shrine. District Police Chief V.K.S. Karki told our Dehradun correspondent that among the deceased, two pilgrims were from Gujrat while another pilgrim was from Kolkata.However, another one was said to be local resident. Meanwhile Director, Met Department Anand Sharma has advised the pilgrims to carry woollen clothes and raincoats as snowfall and rain may occur in high altitude areas of the state in coming 48 hours. Meanwhile, the portals of Central Himalayan Badrinath Shrine would open tomorrow morning.
