In Sweden, four people were killed and 15 injured when a truck ploughed into a crowd of people outside a busy department store in central Stockholm yesterday. <br/><br/>Police said, one man has been arrested in this connection. It said, the attack was the latest in a string of similar attacks with vehicles in Europe, including in London, Berlin and the southern French city of Nice.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said, Sweden has been attacked and everything points to a terror attack. He told reporters that police were still hunting the truck driver and border controls have been strengthened.<br/><br/>The attack took place very close to the Indian Embassy. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said, she in touch with the Indian Ambassador to Sweden and all embassy officials are safe.<br/><br/>World leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have condemned the attack. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, India stands firmly with the people of Sweden in the hour of grief.<br/><br/>French President Francois Hollande expressed his horror and indignation at the attack, with Russian President Vladimir Putin saying that Russians weep with the Swedish people.<br/><br/>US State Department acting spokesman Mark Toner said, Washington was ready to provide any assistance it could to investigate it.<br/><br/>German Chancellor Angela Merkel's spokesman said Germany stood together against terror with Sweden.<br/><br/>UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres also voiced sympathy for the victims' families.<br/><br/>European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said the attack was a blow struck against all European Union countries.
