In Jammu and Kashmir, the four day long encounter in Shamsbari forests of frontier Kupwara district has concluded with the retrieval of all the five dead bodies of the slain militants.The death toll in the encounter has gone to nine as an army officer and a jawan and two police men laid down their lives while fighting the militants.The joint operation in the dense forest area was launched by the army and the police. AIR correspondent reports, the General officer commanding 15th corps Genral Hasnain is visiting Kupwara today to take stock of the situation after the encounter.
