4 arrested for making fake medical certificates

In Uttar Pradesh, four members of a gang allegedly involved in preparing fake medical certificates required for getting visa to Gulf countries, have been arrested by the anti-terrorist squad of state police.<br/>Quoting police sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that two medical centres in Lucknow recognised by the Gulf Cooperation Council for issuing medical certificates had lodged complaint in this regard to the police. State police has claimed that websites of Gulf Cooperation Council recognised Medical Centres were hacked by the gang and fake medical reports were prepared on the basis of information registered on the websites. Fake medical reports prepared in Lucknow in the name of the two medical centres were put on the website. <br/>Police has said that arrested persons had prepared fake medical certificates for people from Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata and Patna in Lucknow. A computer, a printer, forms of the two medical centres in Lucknow, stamps and stickers of medical centres, photocopies of passports, plain certificates and other documents required for issuing medical certificates were among the other things recovered from their possession. <br/>Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, of the state Mr. Brij Lal has apprehended that there was a probability that people involved in terror activities could also go out of the country through such forged documents.<br/>
